On the last day of July, we....

*had a yummy breakfast,

*watched a super cheezy movie (one we purchased at Honk's) a bunch of times, while I took a shower.

*deep cleaned the master bathroom,

*made yummy whole wheat bread and ate it with my strawberry freezer jam,

*(the kiddies) enjoyed a nice nap

*(I) enjoyed quite time while I folded and put away about a gazillion loads of laundry.
*read books

*played with dolls, trucks, barn animals

*ate roast beef for dinner,

*spent the evening out on the deck (it wasn't as hot today...only about 80 degrees while we were out there!) watching the clouds and practiced the alphabet with our flash cards (the twins start preschool in about a month and we have been doing lots of different exercises during the summer. They love flash cards and I give them a treat for doing well!) ,

*watered our garden

*enjoyed a beautiful summer day!
Goodbye July! We love you!

Another Birthday Boy!

Happy Birthday Max!

You have been an absolute
dream child
the past
2 years!

Thank you for going easy on your Daddy and I.
We are madly in love with you and your
mellow temperment,
humble disposition,
kind, fun-loving spirit,
and contagious smile!
Here are a few of my favorite pictures
of you my beautiful, sweet baby.

Here are some pictures of our little party for him.
Jack and Grace were more excited fot the celebration than Max was.
They kept saying VERY excitedly... "Happy Birthday Max" ALL evening.
It was so sweet.
They truly love their little brother to pieces!
We love you Maxwell!
This morning when I got Max out of his bed I
Kissed him and said
"Happy Birthday"!
He then smiled and said
"Cupcake?!"
Needless to say, I made cupcakes for his celebration.
I used Alicia's recipie. (Here is her Blog !) It is super yummy and quite simple. I checked with her and she said she didn't mind if I gave it to my freinds so here it is!

This cake is moist yet very durable and will hold up to many shapes and designs.
It is light in taste and stays moist if making a day or two ahead.
1 Duncan Hines Yellow (or White) cake mix
4 egg whites
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 small pkg of instant vanilla pudding mix
1 cup sour cream
Incorporate all ingredients together one by one on low speed. Make sure to mix thoroughly between each ingredient. Once all ingredients are mixed turn mixer to medium and mix for approximately 2 minutes. Bake at 350 until golden brown.
(For cupcakes about 20 min).
*Sometimes I make filled cupcakes too!

A Fun-Filled Birthday!

Happy Birthday Sweetie!

Today is Clay's Birthday and we have had so much fun!

We started the day off with a horseback ride up in Midway! It was a beautiful morning even though it got really warm towards the end of the ride. Our guide was awsome and we went up some pretty rough terrain (some of it wasn't even on a trail!) We made it to the top of the mountain south of Midway, above Soldier Hollow area, and the view was amazing! I felt like I was in the movie "Man from Snowy River" or something. I kept wishing I had my mp3 player listening to music from that movie.

It was such a fun gettaway and we both had a very enjoyable time. Oh, and guess what my horses name was... Grace. Funny huh? She was a very good horse! After this we drove up to Park City and had lunch at Main Street Pizza & Noodle ! Soooo yummy! We had lots of pasta, cheese bread and shakes. With our stuffed tummies, we then we returned to happy valley and made a quick stop at Borders, Clay's favorite place in the world. No birthday of his would be complete without browsing the bookstore for a few treasures! The rest of the day was spent relaxing with the kiddies! We had his favorite dessert, Pie! He doesn't care too much for cake so I have always had a pie for his birthdays. This year it was peach!

Anyway... I hope my Clay had a sensational day!
He deserves one and sooo much more!
I love you my Big Birthday Boy!
k- that sounded kinda kinky!

So much more to blog about! Stay tuned for reports on Yellowstone Vacation,
Lagoon, and 4th of July.... hopefully soon!

Kelly's pictures

The kiddies and I went to Seven Peaks today and ran into a long-time friend Sarah Wiley! We were talking about blogs and I realized that I haven't posted for a very long time and then I realized how much has happened in the past three weeks. I'm going to have to catch up little by little. First I want to show you these amazing pictures Kelly took of us a few weeks ago. She is so talented and I am in awe how she captured my little angels personalities! I know I will forever treasure these pricless pictures! Thank you sooo much Kelly for coming to our home and doing this for me! There were about 70 pictures on the CD she gave me, so you can imagine how difficult it was to decide which ones to post! Here are a few of my favorites!

Summertime!

Oh, what do you do in the
summertime,
when all the world is green?

Here are a few things our family does!

We go on walks.
Saturday evening we went to feed the ducks at BYU. Then we went on a walk around the campus. It was so fun. Clay had a lot of stories to tell about the years he spent there. And then we went to Smart Cookie . All I can say about that place is, um, Heavenly!!

We ride our Plazma Cars.

These little cars bring so much joy and laughter everytime they ride them. We usually ride them out on our driveway, but sometimes we take them to the park and sometimes we even ride them around and around and around our kitchen table!
(I'm glad we bought one for all three of our kids. They love to race and just play together on them. It's one thing that I don't make them share so they can pleasantly play for a long period of time! If your kids don't have one, put one on their Birthday/Christmas list!)

We go to Seven Peaks.

Today we went for the second time this season!
The kiddies had sooo much fun and I have to admit... I did too!
A bunch of my friends and I got passes here so
I'm sure we will spend A LOT of time here this summer!
