a snowy story

once upon a time, four little kiddies came home from school on winters day and discovered the most beautiful snow they had ever seen right in their own backyard! without question, they ran into their house and donned their winter attire wasting no time in the process! the sun was shining brightly, the air, crisp, neighborhood, quiet, and laughter, plentiful!

yes, perfect for an afternoon of tubing and frolicking in the fresh, powdery snow!

the boys started out by testing the snow... making sure it was soft and light.
after the loving mother blew up the tube, it was time for some serious sliding down the steep hill.
brave jack, at times, didn't require a tube. in fact he preferred it that way

and experimented different strategies to maneuver the intimidating slope.

little max preferred playing off on his own, doing his own thing...
like licking the snow..
and throwing it on his head.
it was a lovely afternoon. they selflessly (for the most part) took turns helping the others on the tube and gazed on as another swiftly flew down.
then, still gleeful, they grew too tired and cold to continue on.
so they went inside and found this awaiting them.
it was delicious.
and finally, what snow day would be complete without a hot chocolate mustache?

the four children were happy.

it was a very good day.

the end.

another max moment: bree freeze

max was drinking a glass of milk this morning and every time he would stop for a breath i heard him whisper "bree freeze" in a kinda cool and collective sort of way. i didn't know what he was talking about so i said "what did you say?" and he said "bree freeze.. this milk is really cold!" it took me a second to realize he meant to say brain freeze (jack always says "brain freeze" when he drinks cold beverages!)! it was sooo funny! it took everything i had in me not to laugh out loud histerically!

oh, and max will only wear his underwear backwards lately because he wants to see the big picture on them. he's convinced there is a product error in the underwear industry! "why would it go in the back where no one can see the big picture?"
hmmm, he has a point!
